چکیده

Pressure-Sensing Devices In article number 2300855, Yang Li, Guozhen Shen, Jong-Chul Lee, and co-workers propose a novel photocurable hydrogel to implement two-in-one wearable device with simple structure, which can quantify visualize pressure simultaneously. Incorporated wireless strategies, two integrated systems of smart patch passive sensing are demonstrated, showing the potential for timely on-site monitoring physiological signals in both remote portable equipment field, as well human–machine interfaces obtaining various information.

Wearable Devices: New Ways to Manage Information

A lthough the Information Age has many upsides, one of its major downsides is information overload. Indeed, the amount of information easily pushes the limit of what people can manage—and the consequences are sometimes deadly. Three-Mile Island and Cher-nobyl, two of the worst disasters in human history, were the result of information overload and mismanagement. But the same stress that produce...

Monitoring in IOT enabled devices

---------------------------------------------------------------ABSTRACT-----------------------------------------------------------------As network size continues to grow exponentially, there has been a proportionate increase in the number of nodes in the corresponding network. With the advent of Internet of things (IOT), it is assumed that many more devices will be connected to the existing net...

Hydrogel-based microsensors for wireless chemical monitoring.

We report fabrication and characterization of a new hydrogel-based microsensor for wireless chemical monitoring. The basic device structure is a high-sensitivity capacitive pressure sensor coupled to a stimuli-sensitive hydrogel that is confined between a stiff porous membrane and a thin glass diaphragm. As small molecules pass through the porous membrane, the hydrogel swells and deflects the d...

Wireless Sensor Network for Wearable Physiological Monitoring

Wearable physiological monitoring system consists of an array of sensors embedded into the fabric of the wearer to continuously monitor the physiological parameters and transmit wireless to a remote monitoring station. At the remote monitoring station the data is correlated to study the overall health status of the wearer. In the conventional wearable physiological monitoring system, the sensor...

A wireless wearable body sensor network for continuous noninvasive blood pressure monitoring using multiple parameters

Blood pressure is a significant vital sign; blood pressure monitoring has a great significance to determine the health status of parents. This paper proposes a continuous, non-invasive blood pressure monitoring system concept, which requires a minimum of calibrations. Using the changes in Pulse Transit Time (PTT) to derive changes in blood pressure is a new method to detect the continuous non-i...
